Direct Hair Transplantation (DHT)


DHT is the latest technique in hair transplantation. It is a more refined version of FUE. It is the fastest method of hair transplantation across the world. This technique was invented by doctors trained from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS, New Delhi). There is no chance of graft damage as there is no root handling. Grafts are implanted as soon as they are harvested. This leads to maximum growth of hair.
As hair transplant surgeons, we constantly strive to improve transplantation results by improvising on graft hydration, maintenance of temperature, minimal graft handling and reducing transit time. Implanting grafts as soon as they are harvested facilitates the above factors. We termed this technique as DHT (Direct Hair Transplantation).

Advantages of DHT over traditional FUE/FUT


1. As grafts are immediately implanted by no touch technique, the time spent out of the body is significantly reduced from 4-5 hours to few minutes. This facilitates graft survival.

2. The graft is held through the shaft area projecting above the skin surface only by a special patented instrument, thus the chances of damage to the root is obviated.

3. The overall duration of surgery is reduced by more than 40-50% .

4. The chance of graft survival is increased to almost 100%.

Body Hair Transplantation


Harvesting body hair becomes important in following cases:

Hair can be taken from beard, chest, armpits, thighs and legs.

Advantages


1.Beard area has grafts with single follicle which is appropriately utilized in designing the hairline. They show good growth on the scalp.

2.In cases requiring large number of grafts, harvesting few from body enables us to provide better density.
