What is Cicatricial Alopecia?

Cicatricial alopecia is also known as scarring alopecia which refers to a compilation of hair loss disease that can be diagnosed in about 3% of the people who suffer from the hair loss. It occurs in both men and women of all ages worldwide.

Cicatricial alopecia is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system of body attacks hair follicles. This leads to inflammation and finally progressive bald patches to arise. Central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia is the main type of cicatricial alopecia.
